This painting is drawn from my memories of driving through the countryside around my home in Mudgee, NSW. In the harsh sunlight the close hills can take on a bleached look while the distant hills often appear a deep blue-grey. So many colours can be found in the grasses and trees if you take a moment to observe the subtleties.
