Eva Stockdale

Eva is Melbourne-based artist and stylist and embarked on her painting journey in 2022. With a background in design (architecture and fashion), and a childhood immersed in creativity, she has always been fascinated with how we seek beauty in our surrounds, and in how we choose the objects and rituals that bring meaning to our lives.

Eva’s practice aims to explore these connections. Through her tender still life and landscapes, she strives to find grace in the ordinary: whether it is taking in a cloudy sky, treasuring a cup of tea in a favourite teacup, or the burgeoning promise of unripe fruit. Serene and introspective, her work in oils embraces light, shadow and movement to punctuate the transience of time.
