American-born artist Julia grew up in Maryland before spending 20 years as a fashion designer in New York City. Since moving to Sydney in 2012, she has studied painting at Willoughby Arts Centre and the National Art School, developing a distinctive practice that uses layered, atmospheric skyscapes to explore memory, motherhood, and the emotional transition of raising her three children into adulthood, inviting viewers to reflect on love, change, and the landscapes of the soul.
